The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) plc today announced several key appointments within its Australian Equities business.
The breadth and range of the RBS Australian Equities Research team has been further strengthened by the appointment of a number of highly experienced and industry-ranked analysts, including Andrew Scott (Managing Director, Research) covering Basic Industrials; Daniel Broeren (Managing Director, Research Analyst) covering Retail; Andrew Lyons, (Managing Director, Research) covering Banks; Derek Jellinek (Director, Senior Research Analyst) covering Healthcare; Tony Sherlock (Vice President, Research Analyst) covering Develops & Contractors; and Daniel Blake (Vice President, Research Analyst Strategy) and Michael Leonard, Associate Analyst (covering Diversified Financials).
RBS has also attracted key talent to its Distribution and Trading division with the appointment of a number of senior sales traders including Mark Skocic (Managing Director, Senior Sales), Tony James (Managing Director, Senior Sales Trader); Ed McCormack (Director, Senior Sales Trader); and Aaron Lagerlow (Director, Senior Sales Trader). John Manchee will also complement the team as Director, Senior Derivatives Trader.
With the ongoing focus on building its offshore distribution network, RBS has appointed Daniel Baker (Director, Senior Sales) in Hong Kong and Stuart Nutting (Head of Australian Research Sales) in Stamford, United States.

In addition, RBS has hired a team of four algorithmic developers. Pratt added:
